I hope you had as much fun as I did New Year's Eve! After a delayed, then cancelled flight, a short night of sleep, and a 6 hour delay (oh what fun the DFW airport is)- we finally arrived in Milwaukee, WI at 2:30 PM on Sat.
We hung out with Toby's brother, Corey, and his family Sat. night - enjoying a yummy Italian dinner at Mama Mia's. Toby got some good "play-time" with his nieces Mollie and Libby. Sunday morning we got to hear Stuart Briscoe preach at Elmbrook Church - where Toby grew up. After church we met some friends for lunch.
Toby spent the evening at another friends house watching the Packers game - I spent the evening holding an adorable 7 week old. Then we went to see Comedy Sportz, an improv show that was started in Milwaukee and now is in many places, including here in Dallas. It was a lot of fun (the top photo is from the show). The comedians were great and the champagne was flowing. It was a great way to ring in the new year!
On New Year's Day we drove about an hour and a half north to watch yet another football game - the WI badgers stomped on the Razorbacks. Actually, we drove up north to visit Toby's grandma and then to have dinner with friends who live in Green Bay. It was fun to see everyone. Tuesday morning we walked around downtown Milwaukee before heading over to Jake's delicatessen to enjoy "the best Rueben's in the world"! After visiting and eating our way through our time in WI we headed home a little early as we were wiped out!
